Are you one of the salt lovers?

A recent global study found that sodium intake may not shorten life span and may even be positively associated with healthy life expectancy.

The study analyzed data from 181 countries and found a positive correlation between sodium intake and healthy life expectancy at birth and age 60. Meanwhile, all-cause mortality showed an inverse correlation with sodium intake. While these findings are observational and more research is needed, they do challenge the notion that high sodium intake is a risk factor for premature death.
