🚯 We Are Absorbing Plastic! Brain Study Sparks Urgent Health Concerns

A new Nature Medicine study has confirmed that microplastics and nanoplastics (MNPs) are accumulating in human brains, livers, and kidneys—and the levels are rising fast! 🚯

🔬 Key Findings:

Brain tissues contain the highest levels of microplastics, with a 50% increase from 2016 to 2024.

✅ The most common plastic found? Polyethylene (PE)—widely used in food packaging, plastic bags, and bottles.

People with dementia had even higher levels, raising concerns about potential links to neurological diseases.

Microplastics were found in blood vessels & immune cells, but their full impact on health remains unknown.

No Correlation with Age, Sex, or Cause of Death – Meaning MNP accumulation isn’t just a result of aging but may be due to widespread environmental exposure! 🌍

🚨 Why does this matter?

We are inhaling, ingesting, and absorbing plastics every day. This research raises major concerns about long-term exposure and brain health.

🔥 It’s time to demand action on plastic pollution and rethink our exposure! Let’s push for real change!
